Dietitians help people understand the relationship between food and health. Dietitians can help you make dietary choices to support your health, and to prevent and treat illness and disease.
Dietitians can assist with a range of conditions including bowel disorders, metabolic syndrome, malnutrition, eating disorders, kidney and liver disorders, childhood feeding issues and tube feeding. Dietitians can also advise clients on pre- and post- operative nutrition, on nutrition during oncology treatment, and provide healthy eating advice for a range of conditions.
Our Community Paediatrician provides care for children and families from the Lismore area who have a Health Care Card. The child must also have a current referral from their GP.
This service also provides outreach clinics to Casino, Coraki, Nimbin and Tabulam.

Our Child and Family Health Nurses provide a range of services including:
* Developmental screening for children from birth to five years of age
* Home visits for new babies and follow ups
* Breastfeeding, maternal and infant nutrition support
* Immunisations
* Family health and welfare
* Parenting support
* Child health and development, including sleep and settling
We accept referral from individuals, maternity and health services, non-government agencies and other health professionals.
Immunisation
The Child and Family Counselling Service (CFCS) works with children aged 0-12 years and their families and carers, providing interventions to improve your health, well-being and functioning.
The CFCS provides both primary and specialist secondary care for children with more severe and complex psychological presentations.
We provide assistance for dealing with a range of behavioural difficulties, stress, anxiety and mood related problems. Where possible, the Child and Family Counselling Service works together with schools and pre-schools.
This service is funded via Families NSW. This service provides family support to Aboriginal families in the Lismore area with at least one child 0-5 years of age.

Women’s Health Matters provides advice, counselling and treatment for menopause, sexual health, emotional wellbeing, urinary continence and osteoporosis to women aged 40 and over. In some cases, we also provide care to women under the age of 40 who may have specific women’s health concerns.
Appointments with the Women’s Health Doctor or Counsellor can be made by phoning reception Monday to Friday.
The Speech Pathology Department provides services to adults aged over 18 years with acute communication and swallowing disorders, also provides services to children from birth to school entry with communication or feeding difficulties.
We provide inpatient services for swallowing and communication difficulties including language, speech, voice and fluency.
We accept referrals from individuals, families, carers, case workers, or health professionals, with the client’s consent.

Our social work service supports clients in the Casino and Richmond Valley areas with a range of issues, including accessing or navigating community support services, managing health while experiencing homelessness, personal and family issues and coping after a traumatic event.
In some cases, this may also include psycho-social assessment and referral, counselling or advocacy.
We accept referrals from hospitals, GPs, specialists, allied health professionals, non-government organisations, family and carers, and self-referral.
The School Health Nursing Service provides four year old Health Assessments and School Screening services to all schools in the Casino region.
This is a targeted service aimed at providing early assessment and referral for early intervention for at risk children and families.
The screening includes vision, hearing, speech, dental, fine and gross motor development and social and emotional issues.
Our Podiatrist works with clients who have foot and leg disorders to improve their mobility and enhance independence. This is achieved through the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and management of pathological foot problems and associated restrictions in function.
