Our Women’s Health service provides advice, counselling and treatment for menopause, sexual health, emotional wellbeing, urinary continence and osteoporosis to women aged 40 and over.

In some cases, we also provide care to women under the age of 40 who may have specific women’s health concerns.

Women who live anywhere in the footprint of Northern NSW Local Health District can access this service.

Women can self-refer, and we also accept referrals from other health practitioners.

Our Speech Pathology service provides assessment, therapy, and management for a range of swallowing and communication disorders including language, speech, voice, and fluency, for children from birth to school entry age.

Our Podiatrist works with clients who have foot and leg disorders to improve their mobility and enhance independence. This is achieved through the diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and management of pathological foot problems and associated restrictions in function. Clients who are identified as being high risk will be given priority, with other referrals assessed by clinical need.

We provide assessment and treatment for musculoskeletal and neurological conditions to people of any age who may benefit from physiotherapy intervention.

This usually involves a comprehensive assessment and development of an individual treatment plan in consultation with the patient.

Most treatment plans involve education, self-management strategies and specific exercise programmes, as well as other physiotherapy techniques.

Our Occupational Therapy Team asses people’s ability to carry out their usual daily activities with the aim of helping people stay as independent as possible, and safe within their own homes.

Our services include home modifications, equipment prescription, and education about falls prevention, energy conservation, and pressure injury prevention and management.

Dietitians help people understand the relationship between food and health. Dietitians can help you make dietary choices to support your health, and to prevent and treat illness and disease.

Our Dietitians provide a range of individual and group nutrition education services.

Our community nurses provide a range of services including wound care, continence management, management of venous access devices, palliative care nursing, and referral to other care providers including allied health and the Aged Care Assessment Team.

Specialist Nurses in the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) service work with adults who have one or more diagnosed chronic conditions, have recently been in hospital, or are at risk of going to hospital and need help to manage their condition and stay well at home.
